ABOUT

Jonathan George
Jonathan George launched JG Entertainment after working professionally for over 25 years in many different aspects of the music, film and tv industries. From award-winning artist to being a multi-award winning songwriter, producer, photographer, and vocal coach to the stars, Jonathan has successfully worn many hats in the entertainment industry.
Growing up in Dallas, Texas as the youngest of 8, Jonathan’s musical influences come not from other popular artists as most would think, but from his family. Just about every member of his family plays multiple instruments and sings and are pastors of churches. His soulful vocals and piano skills come from sitting around the piano and guitar with his family, and singing in his father’s Pentecostal church. His grandmother, Dretha Utter has four successful gospel records. Many of his other relatives have been successful in the Gospel market, giving his family the nickname, “The White Winans”.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Vocal Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, Jonathan combined his soulful Gospel vocals with his classical training to perform in over 60 stage shows, musicals, radio and television appearances that have taken him all over the world.
Jonathan moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to focus on his singing and songwriting careers. That first year, he won the title Grand Champion Winner on Ed McMahon’s new “Star Search” show called “Next Big Star”, singing his original song “Losing All My Pride”. Later that year he shot a music video to his first single, “Ooh Mama Mia”. This hot Latin/hip hop hit was featured in the “Behind The Scenes” documentary of Playboy’s 2005 Swimsuit Calendar. Before retiring from performing, Jonathan shot a JayZ music video, a SAYNKO commercial with Nicholas Cage and also performed on FOX’s “Thirty Seconds to Fame” as well as “MAD TV”.

Jonathan most recently was the Executive Producer and Creator of Kids Helping Kids Project Haiti which was hosted by the likes of Nathan Cress (iCarly), Brandon Smith (Sonny with a Chance), and Alyson Stoner (Camp Rock, Cheaper by the Dozen, Suite Life of Zach and Cody) as well as performances by artists such as Ashley Argota (True Jackson, VP), Josh Golden (Disney’s Next Big Thing) and Savannah Outen (Disney Recording Artist), this special benefit raised funds to help build new facilities for God’s Littlest Angels orphanage in Haiti. Also part of the nights festivities, Jimmy Jean Louise (Heroes) came and introduced 4 American families that adopted Hatian orphans. Among the eight adopted children in attendance, five of them were adopted by Kermit Alexander, former NFL football player for the 49ers, and his wife Tami.
